G.I.R.L. Kick-Off (register online)
This is a bundle of fun activities to learn all about the G.I.R.L. organization and supporting organizations.
A Day and a Life (register online)
It's about shared experiences and making connections. Understand what it takes to run an effective household/family. Pay bills, find resources, budget, plan, open a savings account and so much more. This simulation is presented by the University of Missouri Extension and G.I.R.L.
ACT Now for G.I.R.L.s (register online)
Preparing for the ACT is a vital part of a young ladies life; catapulting them to the next level in self. This is a six week session that provides guidance, techniques and better knowledge on testing for the ACT.
Take Care of Yourself (register online)
Understanding the importance of a first impression and outward appearance; this session will delve into social etiquette, self presentation, job readiness, resume writing and "tough talk".
Time to Find a Job (register online)
Interviewing is key to finding a job/career. This session will give student's an opportunity to interview with corporate partners and obtain constructive feedback on the interview that was conducted.
It Won't Happen to Me (register online)
Presented by the University of Missouri and the University of Kansas; this collaborative, unique, peer teaching program will educate teens about the transmission and the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
